You can always put hardwood floors in yourself. That laminated Pergo is very pretty & they have that new kind of hardwood that just locks into place. Not too expensive & easy to do. Also you might want to have the air tested to see what king of allergens & gases are in the air. And see how old the air conditioning units are & how long ago the ducts were cleaned. Get a mold test done. Upgrade HVAC filters. Ask when last treatment was done for termites or any other pest.

You could eliminate all of those worries by investing in a good steam cleaner, I did, as both my wife and I are (ex) Asthma sufferers. I bought a machine called a “Polti ” and it is the best piece of household equiptment I ever bought. After vaccuming, I go over all my carpets, beds, furniture,curtains, hardwood floors, with my “Polti” The hot dry steam kills house dust mites, and cleans and sterilises without using harmful chemicals. Neither of us has had an astma attack since we started using the steam cleaner, and I do not know why astma clinics do not reccommend asthma sufferers use them, my asthma nurse put us onto it, and I cannot thank her enough. It is also brilliant for most general cleaning purposes, and also stripping wallpaper, and de-frosts the freezer in minutes.
