Asthma Treatment

I went to the doc today b/c I thought I had bronchitis, the doc told me I have acute asthma. I had asthma when I was a kid and haven’t had any problems with it since I was 17 or 18, I am now 30 so not sure why it flared up but I am wondering what I can do to make it stop. I **** taking all these pills and having the inhaler.

When I was a child my Mother had an all white cat. I had no allergic reactions. As a teen I had a close friend who had dark fur colored cats. I was very allergic to her cats. Not sure what type of cats they were. They had black, white and gray in their fur. But they were mainly dark. Could I only be allergic to those type of cats?

I have had asthma since I could remember, and recently when to a lung doctor to see exactly what was wrong. There are two possibilities. Either it was passed down from my family or allergies. If the allergie theory is correct, does it have a chance of going away? I am allergic to dust mites and I heard they are in animals with fur. Does this mean I can’t have my dog anymore? I don’t notice anything wrong with myself when I am around him, and we’ve had him for over 4 years…………
